Summer 2022

We made it through a hot hot summer ...
but feeling a break in the weather now!
 It rarely reaches 100 degrees😉

We celebrated 4th of July at Nelson’s ... all 14 of us!
We ate yummy picnic food, had fireworks in the backyard,
then walked to their park to watch fireworks!
Fun, Fun!!
We also celebrated Tim’s 70th Birthday!
Seems like we just celebrated his 40th!!
We drove to LA in July to see James and Beka!
It was so great to see them and their new apartments.
They treated dad (and I) with tickets to the Hollywood Bowl
to see a Frank Sinatra tribute show!
We packed a picnic and had a great time.
It was wonderful seeing the kids, even for a short visit!
We drove up to Modesto to see Mel, too!
So great to catch up with her and the
family who were in town!
When we got home we were surprised with a yard disaster!
That day we had the biggest rainstorm in our 35 yrs here!
Our neighbors said it was 4 1/2” in 45 min!
So we spent the rest of the summer cleaning up and
spreading 15 tons of gravel
(in the early morning before the heat).
The front yard is done...just have to fix the backyard!
Owen came for 2 nights for his 13th Birthday!
We had fun eating good food, playing games, going
out and working in the yard!
He was determined to help his grammy and papa!
The Nelson’s made the hard decision to move to San Antonio.
Jonah got a great job, so they spent the summer packing!
We all got together at the Macs for a fun hangout!
We’re sure going to miss them but will have to visit soon.
Grammy and Papa weren’t much help with the hard
work, but the Macs sure were!
From Arizona to Texas!!
Their rental house and lovely backyard...
Tim and I kept busy all summer building the
It’s not public yet, but for the few that read this ...
you can have a preview.
Let me know your thoughts!

Spring 2022

April to June are gorgeous months in Arizona.
We enjoyed being outside and preparing for the hot summer!
Adah started lessons with a more advanced teacher
so we went to her piano recital the beginning of April!
So proud of our amazing 13 yr old!
Her friend Allie played, too!

For the first time in years, I trimmed Deborah's hair!
It was fun to have her and her gang come over for the day.
We've been trying to plan a bike ride/bar hop with the Macs...
it finally happened!!
We started at Freestone Park and rode the
Western Canal Path Trail,
stopping at Downtown Gilbert before and after!

We couldn't get together for Easter on Easter Day,
but we had a Park Day on 4/22!
So great to all be together!
It's amazing to watch the kids interact as they grow up!
Sam & Britney came for a visit in the middle of June
and brought all the Hearts that we put into storage.
Really special to hang out early mornings on the back patio!
Clay had Covid so the Macs couldn't come,
but the Nelson's came over for pizza
and Amos' birthday celebration!

We had dinner at the Macs, once they were feeling better!

We had Amos over to spend the night for his 8th birthday!
He had fun playing old computer games,
board games and just hangin!
We watched each family of kids a few times!
It's more like just spending time with these special ones
who are growing up so very fast!
We are Blessed indeed!

This summer Tim and I are working on building
the Heart's Encounter website.
We're definitely not pros,
but we have lots of time and we can learn!
I'll update you all when it it finished and on-line!
