6 Weeks and Many Miles!!!

On Feb 27 James flew to LA to meet up with Beka!
They planned to live there together
after Beka finished her tour on April 16th!
So they secured an apartment in a week ...
move in date was the 5th!
I loaded the car with all their stuff that was stored here
and drove it to LA from the 5-9th!
I got to see Beka and have dinner together
her last night in Costa Mesa, then James and I moved
into his apartment with 2 carloads of stuff!
James continued working virtual for his NY job, until he
drove Beka's car to San Francisco to get her!!

I got home in time for Lisa's visit from 11th-21st!
We had just a wonderful time!!!  The highlight was
just sitting on the patio and talking!
This day we stayed in our PJ's from 8 am coffee time
until 10:30 at night!!!  Just delightful!
Lisa got to visit with Deb's and Rachel's families and meet all the kids!
She is such a special great Auntie!!!  The kids loved her!
St. Patrick's Day at the Park with the gang!
Lunch out with my special-in-law, KIM!  So happy they could finally meet!
Then our friend, Sally, joined us on the 18th for an awesome
"Girls' Weekend"!!!  Sue joined us for wonderful times together!
I had a few days to get in order before leaving on the 26th
for my next trip! I drove to LA to spend Easter with James!
We spent a lovely day hiking and seeing "My" ocean!!!
So refreshing!
James cooked for me in his new place!  Special memories!

Then I drove to Modesto on the 29th and stayed with Melanie, Tim's sister
until the 2nd!  We had such special times together and with Kristin
and her family!  We 3 girls did some awesome wine tasting!!
On the 2nd, Mel and I drove to the Pleasanton BART station
and took BART into San Francisco to see Wicked!!!
Tom and Dyers joined us at the 2:00 show!
Such a special, special time with these dear, dear people!!!
Beka, Tom, Mel and I were able to get dinner
and hang out for an hour or so!!!
Then Tom drove us to our cars...Mel drove to Modesto and
Tom and I got a hotel for the night.
We had a great time talking and going to breakfast before he went
his way and I drove to San Francisco to spend a few days with Beka!
Her day off was Monday, so we did a little sight-seeing and
had lunch in Sausalito!  Wonderful memories!
My dear friend, Sue flew to SF just so we could drive home together!
We drove the PCH for 2 days and spent the night in Cambria,
right on the coast!  Breath Takingly Beautiful!!!
Such a wonderful treat in soooo many ways!
The view from our patio!
We got to LA, where Sue had a hotel and I spent the night at James'!
We enjoyed a great Mexican meal out together!
So I got home on 7th after driving over 1700 miles myself!!!

Beka was in her last week on the Wicked Tour and was sick :(
She had so much to do to get ready to leave and just needed her mom...
so I flew back to SF from the 9-14th!!
YAY for Southwest frequent flyer points!
I did feel like I wasn't there long enough the last week!
I was able to help Beka with laundry, clean her Airbnb,
shop and cook food...and just have good cries together!
I'm so glad I could be there!
I had a free afternoon, so went and rode the cable cars...
every track they went on and see the city - it had been a long time!
I walked on Fisherman's wharf,
bought chocolate at Ghirardelli Square and clam chowder :)
This sweet girl from Korea was doing the same thing,
so went spent a great day together!
I got home in time to go to Scottsdale from the 15-18th!
We had 3 nights at a hotel, part of a timeshare presentation :)
It would have been wonderful, except I came home sick with
a fever and cough that lasted over a week!
I was feeling good enough to go out to Postino's
at Kierland Commons the last night...the end of a very busy 6 weeks!
Pics!

This has been a very crazy 10+ years!!!
While away on our weekend, Tim suggested
I make a list of everything in one place!
If I ever wonder why I'm tired and wrinkled...this explains it!!

Winter 2016

2016 started out great celebrating Everett's 4th Birthday!
It was such an exciting day, since Everett was now
old enough to spend a day out with Grammie!
We went to the Mall to play, ate at Chick Fil A -
Everett's choice, then spent the rest of the afternoon at a park!
What a delightful day getting to know this sweet big boy - EVERETT!
James home was able to come home thanks to his SynLawn job in NYC.
A business trip to CO was cancelled because of bad weather,
but his boss told him to at least take the second part of the trip,
which was a week in AZ - company paid!
While he was here, we went to and became members of
 The Boyce Thompson Arboretum
What a beautiful and relaxing place just 30 min from home!
Our dear special-in-laws had us over for a lovely
Valentines Meal... then surprised me with a celebration
for my 60th birthday!  We sure love these dear ones!
Since I belonged to the Arboretum, I was able to take friends along
and enjoy great times together ... often ending with sitting on my Patio!
 I went with Halli, Dani, Elaine, Deb's, Rachel's, Tim & Lisa -
all within a few weeks time!
Somehow I got the idea to build Legos for grandkids!
We had a huge box of mixed up bricks...so I spent hours
putting together the various kits we had the instructions for!
I really enjoyed putting them together  AND
I'm having fun bring them to the grandkids, little by little!!!
