Fall 2021

The grands finally had an in person piano recital!
So fun to see 4 play.  Emily broke her arm the week
before so couldn't play...but she was the announcer!!
Owen!
Everett
Adah and Caden!
They all did a wonderful job ... so very proud!

In October I took a trip to Ohio.
 I hadn't been there since Sept 2018.
I flew into Columbus and spent the night.
The next day I drove to Fremont and checked into my hotel.
It was fun to drive around and see my old stomping grounds!
I spent the evening with my cousin Mark and Denise.
Such a great meal and a such great time!!
The next day I spent with my dear 87 yr old Aunt Janie.
She prepared a lovely lunch and cousin Sherrie
and Rosie there, too!  We enjoyed chatting and driving
around the countryside to visit many special spots!
We met Joe and Emily for ribs in New Reigle
and ended up at the Reinhart cousins for a visit.
So very thankful we did this as cousin John died
of a heart attack a couple weeks later.  It was
a miracle that we got to see him.  We did not take pictures
but this is John and I from a few years ago....
such a special guy and so thankful for this trip!
The next day I met Joe and Emily at Mom and Dad's
gravesite.  We then followed each other to Cincinnati.
All my siblings and some of the nieces and nephews
met at Steve's amazing home.
It had been 3 years since we were all together!
We got to see Kyle, Kent and Vince on their High School
Football team.  We had a blast cheering them on!
Jingles and Mullet showed up at our campfire night!
I got to go with Joe and Emily to the Cincinnati zoo!
So much fun!
The rest of the Fall was quiet...
but we got had some fun times with the Grands!
We spent Thanksgiving at the Nelson's...
So special and so delicious!
We got to have Adah and Emsley over
to celebrate their November birthdays!!
We went to see Encanto and went out for pizza!
We were all so proud to see Uncle James' name
in the credits!!  (7th from top)
James' posts about Encanto's premiere in LA - so very exciting!
We had a fun time playing games together and
shopping for and creating special ornaments
for their parents!  The girls were so thoughtful and
creative.  What a great time to be with these
two special ones!

Summer 2021

Summer was long and HOT!!
Being outside was hard - so lots of inside time.
Thankful it's getting cooler now!
We had 6 grands spend the night during the summer.
Our spring was so busy with the re-model we had
many birthday spend-the-nights to make-up!

First was Everett!  He's a peaceful guy ... what a delight~
He wanted to reorganize my cupboards, feed the birds,
build Fisher-technic and make his favorite crepes...
then his family came by after church for lunch and hangout!
Rachel got a bike while we were out for her birthday!
Sue started game nights on first Friday's starting 5/7
with a bunch of our dear friends!
Watching Macs and Nelsons a few times- always fun!
Julia's baby shower - great to see so many friends.
We celebrated the July 4th in AJ with the Macs and Nelsons!
Went to In & Out with Deb and gang.
Easy and fun time for us all!
Tim and I went to Sedona 2 nights for his 69th birthday.
We brought our bikes and enjoyed a few rides in
cooler weather and a few hikes in the beautiful scenery!
For Sue's birthday we went to Steel Magnolia's
at the Hale Theater - Fun to get out!
Had the Macs over for a munchie and game night!

Lilia & Amos spent 2 nights ...
Their dinner out choice was Culver's!
Sure enjoyed these special ones.
So great to have time with each!

Owen came for 3 nights.
We played hours of games:
Saboteur, Yahtzee and more.
Tim introduced him to The Three Stooges -
a big hit!!

I went to Sedona with Sue and Eula for 3 nights ...
we enjoyed it so much, we forgot to take pics!!
Time and I celebrated our 43rd anniversary with dinner and
a show in downtown Mesa.  We had a great time, but
again no pics!

Had Caden over to spend the night!
He brought his metal detector and
found many coins and metal scraps
and had fun winning 15+ games!
So fun to just hang out!
Letty came over for a spend the night!
She came with all her creature comforts and enjoyed
being here alone for the first time!
She said she was the exciting girl - and boy was she!
She had idea after idea of things we could do ...
Wore out her grandparents!!!!
We went to Fountain Hills park for a picnic dinner
where we met her family for "Ballet Under the Stars".
Such a great time!
Looking forward to a few cooler months!!
