April 2018 Nashville

I had a plan to be in Nashville in April!
Then plans were added ...
and then more until it became WAYYYYY
more than I could dream up!  I'll explain ...
I wanted to have quiet visit in Nashville
while Beka was there with Wicked in April.
But I actually left home on April 2nd with James!
He had decided to more there from LA,
so of course ... I can do this!
My 3rd road trip to Nashville in 6 months!
I'm basically a pro at this!
An addition to my original plan!!!
We had a nice 1st day through Sedona
and then on to Albuquerque!
(Note: When doing things with Millennial's
be prepared to be seen on their
Social Media sites ... thus some of the following
pics, video's and boomerang's
which I put on YouTube so viewable  here  :)
We saw this truck on the way ... pretty much summed it up!
We were headed to "Heartland"!
 (Annette's property in Nashville)
These captured our mood after 3 long days in the car together!
We actually had a great trip and enjoyed it :)
We drove into Nashville on the 4th in time
to see Beka and Root before her show that night!
We spent the next day getting James settled into his new
'home' then met Beka downtown to play the Wicked lottery!
We WON!!  So we got to see the show that night!
Another great addition to my original plan!
We went out afterward to celebrate being together!
Great to be out with these two!
I was so happy that "FAB Nashville" was playing at
3rd and Lindsley on the 6th!
James and Abby joined me ...
Great memories of being here with Annette!
Another great addition to my original plan!
My kind of music!
Beka brought Root out to the house a few times
on her double show days!
Root loved it and so did we!
So it was decided to have the Wicked cast out
for a porch party on the 9th!  Dogs included!
We shopped at Costco and made it happen.
Fun and relaxing for all!
Another great addition to my original plan!
My girlfriend from high school, Mary Pat,
came on Monday night in time for the party!
We were going to do "Encounter Training"
together starting on Thursday...
so had to have some time to hang out before!
Another great addition to my original plan!

We had brunch in Franklin with Abby on Tuesday ...
This is the church where Annette got married in 2000.
Abby and I were there together then, too!
While in Franklin we saw filming going on and it
just happened to be this: The current Glinda and Elphaba
from Wicked doing a promotional video.
I met Ginna Claire's mom and had a great visit!
Another great addition to my original plan!
Mary Pat and I bought a bunch of plants then
cleaned up the flowerbeds and planted things!
On Wednesday we picked up my friend Sue at
the airport and had a lovely dinner together!
My 2 best friends were joining me for this training!
didn't even ask them to...
Another great addition to my original plan!

So from Thursday morning to Sunday evening
we 3 did the "Encounter Training"!
I'm not going to write about it here, but
if you want to know more check out
My original plan did not include this ...
Another great addition to my plan!!
Tom joined us for our Commencement and we had
 a special dinner together afterwards!
Sue was in town till Tuesday, so we hung out in her hotel room
on Monday to talk about our weekend.  Then she came out
to Heartland to experience what I've been telling her about!
Another great addition to my original plan!
Then we all went out to Kimbro's Pickin Parlor in Franklin on
Monday evening to hear Tom's friend, Jessie Minnigan sing!
Another great addition to my original plan!
Tom was working on a song to play at our nephew's wedding
so he had a lesson with Val at Shuff's Music in Franklin!
Fun to see where she works and hear her play...
Another great addition to my original plan!
On Wednesday, my new friend, Taylor, from the Encounter
came to visit me at Heartland!  Looking forward to more
adventures with her in the future!
Then James and I went to Arrington Vineyards for a lovely
picnic dinner in a gorgeous setting ...
Plus lots of good talk!
Another great addition to my original plan!
Beka was the only cast person not scheduled for a
rehearsal on Thursday, so we were able to meet
for a lovely lunch and chat!  James joined us for
a pic after his haircut!  Such a gift and sweet times!
Tom, James and I played the Wicked lottery again
on Thursday with Beka, but didn't win.  Instead we walked
around downtown Nashville - a real treat and had
appetizers at Black Rabbit!
Another great addition to my original plan!
On Friday we made Mexican food and invited a bunch
of people over to the house for a porch party/campfire!
A great time with dear friends.
Another great addition to my original plan!
Tom wanted to see Wicked so we went to play the lottery
again on Sunday morning!  We won ... we all won!
We had extras to help Ginna Claire's family go, too!
After the matinee we played the lottery again so James
could go!  He won too!
Gonna Claire's mom and us - all excited to win!
Another great addition to my original plan!
We were at the same show as Jim and Amy,
so we all got a backstage tour!
Another great addition to my original plan!
James and I went out to coffee for more talking time,
then snooped around Belle Meade Plantation!
We didn't have much time there but will definitely
go back and tour through this beautiful place!
Another great addition to my original plan!
Tom did so much work on the house ...
Tore down the rickety stairs and stained the rest of the deck!
Plus so much work clearing the woods and creating
wonderful paths throughout!
On Tuesday the 24th, James drove me the long beautiful way
to the airport!  A great ending to a wonderful 3+ week trip!
Another great addition to my original plan!
Moral of the story:  God has great plans and
walking with Him is quite an adventure ...
we just need to take the first step :)

Winter 2018

I'm home for just a couple months -
 Jan 16th  through April 1st!
Lots to do and much to catch up on!
We missed having a few birthday spend the nights,
so first was having Adah and Emsley over!
(Their birthday's are in November!)
It's so great to have some 1-1 time with these special ones.
At Boyce Thompson Arboretum for fun and a picnic!
Plenty of time to play ... these 30 year old toys are always fun!
A little trip to Goldfield Ghost Town!
Everett's birthday was in January ...
so he was next to spend the night!
Walks in the desert, play with the toys and yummy breakfast!
 Yard work effort ...
So much tree trimming and loads to the dump,
but the yard is looking better than it ever has!
Our dear neighbors for over 20 years moved away!
We miss the Valgento's next door - special friends!
We got to see a show at Xavier, where Jonah works and
programs all the lighting!  Owen joined us for the event, too!
We got to see Jonah's 'office" and a great show...
"Into the Woods"
We were free to join Deb and the kids for their Awana derby!
They came in 1st and 2nd in their age groups!  So proud of them!
Grammy got to sew a very special dress for Lilia's 1st birthday!
Precious Little girl!
I continue to treat my Lyme disease.
Many doctor appointments and meds
 - Sauna and acupuncture and new to the regime ...
Ozone IV Therapy!  So much fun but
thankful I'm able to live my life!
James came home for a few days and Easter before
his move and our trip to Nashville!
Some special times with him...
We all ... all 15 of us (just missing Beka)
went to the park on Easter weekend...so much fun!
So everyone said bye bye to Uncle James for a while -
and bye to Grammie for just 3 weeks this time!
