Spring 2017

It's been 5 months since my last post and so much has changed!
Spring has been a wonderful time of new beginnings!
The Nelson's welcomed Lilia Grace into their family on March 15th!
Her 3 brothers are thrilled with their little sister!!!
Lilia is our 8th grandchild ...
4 girls and 4 boys!!
Each so special and so loved!
Beka decided to sublet in NYC for a couple for audition season.
She left on January 5th!  She had a previous commitment to perform
in a fundraiser in Arizona so returned Feb 6-12th.
It was great to watch her in Steel Magnolias!
After being in NYC for a couple months and having many auditions,
Beka decided to move home!  She was diagnosed with burnout/PTSD
and realized she needed to take a break and heal ...
having lived in "fight or flight" mode for 7+ years!
We love having her here as she hasn't lived at home since she was 17!

The 3 of us took a day trip to Sedona for Easter!
We found a beautiful secluded spot for our picnic lunch!
... and visited the most beautiful Starbucks!   So peaceful and refreshing!
As part of her "therapy", Beka adopted a little 7 week old puppy!
She named her Root!
She's been a wonderful addition and so helpful for Beka!
She's growing up quickly and with Beka's amazing training
she's a very well behaved and sweet puppy!
Brother Tom came to visit in early May, on his way east!
We were treated to some beautiful music on guitar and mandolin!
Pics with "our" mountain!
We all met at a park with great uncle Tom!!
Tom found some "Mayfield Dairy" ice-cream at a local AZ store ...
The Guyer family toured this dairy 20 years ago in Dayton, TN!
The kids were delighted!

What a wonderful Mother's Day I had this year!!!
Beka invited me out to brunch and as we were leaving
we walked to the back patio to find Rachel, Deborah and Lilia!
Girl's Day for Mother's Day ... maybe our new tradition?
We had a perfect time of coffee and goodies on the patio for hours!
Aunt Beka loving on baby Lilia!
Little Lilia met Little Root!  They were born 9 days apart...
I think there's a connection!
Then the girls made a lovely lunch ...
So special and peaceful to be together!
